What Students and Parents Say About KeyTutor

“I would highly recommend David Aronson for test prep. I used him for all three of my children at different times. They have very different learning styles and David was flexible in his approach with each one. All three significantly improved their scores under his guidance. He shared super helpful tips and told engaging stories that kept them on task. I would absolutely hire David again and I would give him the very highest recommendation!”

David was able to develop Christopher from an immature goofball into a brilliant young mind who just graduated from a top engineering institution summa cum laude and will be pursuing a PhD in nuclear engineering. Not only was Christopher challenged, he began to question and develop an inquisitive and disciplined quest for knowledge. Under David’s guidance and tutelage, Christopher has traveled to the stars and beyond our expectations.

After David tutored Christopher, he began tutoring our daughter Nicole in 2018 and continues to support her today. Nicole’s learning style is completely different than her brothers as she is on an individualized education program and has academic challenges. Somehow David has been able to harness Nicole‘s unleashed energy, engage her, and create in her a desire to challenge herself and reach her academic goals, despite her challenges.

David’s expertise, knowledge and attention to the learning needs of each student are unparalleled. He utilizes his unique talents to maximize and develop the strengths of each student, helping bring out their emotional and academic best. We have always and will continue to highly recommend his tutoring services for students of all levels. We cannot emphasize enough the value of David in our lives and would be happy to answer any questions about our experiences.

I had the privilege of working with David from 2006 to 2012, during which he tutored me in a range of academic subjects as well as test preparation. My experience began with David tutoring me for the ISEE entrance exam, which helped me gain admission to the Noble and Greenough School. While at Nobles, David tutored me in a range of math and science subjects including Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calc, Statistics, Trigonometry, Calculus, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry. David also helped me study for the college entrance exams (ACT and SAT Subject Tests) and prepare my college application.

In addition to his astonishing expertise and natural intuition for the subject matter, David’s affable personality makes the at-home academic process approachable and enjoyable. Ultimately, much of academic performance is about “putting in the hours,” and David works with students to relieve the stress and tedium of the work through humor and positive encouragement.

Middle school and high school students are placed under a tremendous amount of pressure between completing significant workloads and enduring the general stress of adolescence. David is an incredible person to have in your corner – his method transcends traditional tutoring, and I truly felt like he became an academically-oriented life coach for me.

David tutored my sister Monica for many years after tutoring me and remains one of my closest friends to this day. I feel very grateful that I was able to work with David and have no doubt in my mind that I would not have succeeded at Nobles and gained admission to Cornell had I not. David played a major role in helping me reach my academic potential and I cannot recommend his services enough.

  • “Our 4 daughters have had the pleasure of David’s SAT Prep services, as it has been a family affair. David met the needs of 4 various learning styles, each daughter with their own unique set of academic abilities.

David prepared each of our daughters with confidence to succeed to the best of their abilities with supportive strategies, test taking techniques and ample practice which in turn afforded them an opportunity to take the SAT with less anxiety & stress.

David made himself available, as we created small tutoring groups for each of our daughters, to facilitate tutoring sessions with their peers to create a comfortable yet challenging test preparation experience.

We are forever grateful for David’s academic support & guidance over the past 10 years.”

  • “As a student who struggled with test-taking anxiety all throughout high school, I dreaded preparing for the SAT, until I met David. I was part of a small SAT prep group with students from multiple school districts. David took the time to get to know each of us individually and identify how he could best prepare us for the test. We all left tutoring with a better understanding of the test and I personally felt well-equipped with tips & tricks to feel more confident and less overwhelmed in the testing setting. Most of all he made each session a pleasant experience that we could look forward to each week. Elevens years later I have 2 bachelors degrees from my top choice college and great memories from preparing for an important academic milestone with friends.”
